We have an incredible Sunshine Team! In addition to having the region’s nicest pediatric dentist, our friendly staff team is certainly worth bragging about. Each of our dental assistants and office members have experience with working one-on-one with children (and parents too!). We absolutely love children! We will aim to create a fun environment with positive memories. Ask us any questions you may have, we are happy to be a resource to you!

Meet the nicest dentist in town: Dr. Rob Point
Dr. Robert Point, lovingly referred to as “Dr. Rob” by our young patients, is passionate about serving the patients at Sunshine Children’s Dentistry. Dr. Rob’s favorite part of working at this office is the strong team dynamic and the sense of pride the team shares in giving quality dental care in a fun setting to amazing patients. As a father to three young children, he provides the same gentle care for each patient as he would towards his own little ones.
Even at a young age, Dr. Rob knew he wanted to study medicine and felt called to dentistry.
Dr. Rob is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist through the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD). He received his DDS from West Virginia University School of Dental Medicine (Morgantown, WV) and attended his pediatric dentistry residency at University of Toledo Medical Center (Toledo, OH). He is a member of the ADA (American Dental Association) and member of the NC Dental Society. He provides the full scope of pediatric dental services at Sunshine Children’s Dentistry, and he treats under general anesthesia at New Hanover Regional Medical Center hospital.
Dr. Rob was born and raised in Wilmington, NC and is excited to finally have come full circle to return to his hometown. He loves spending time with his wife, Ashley, and his 3 daughters. When not at work, Dr. Rob enjoys doing anything outdoors and on the water including fishing, sailing, kite boarding, and kayaking.
